Tweet and Taste Michigan

Its almost time!

The First Tweet & Taste Michigan is this Monday March 8th at 8:00 pm.

The idea of a wonderful fellow Michigan blogger Shannon Casey of "Michigan by the Bottle"
(www.michiganbythebottle.typepad.com/my-blog), this "virtual wine tasting" features three wonderful wines from Michigan's own Black Star Farms.  We will be tasting the 2008 Arcturos Dry Riesling, the 2007 Arcturos Barrel Aged Chardonnay and the 2007 Arcturos Pinot Noir.

There is still time for you to participate.  Here is how:

1.     Go purchase one, two or all of the wines from your local retailer;
2.     Log onto Twitter at 8:00 pm on Monday the 8th using either Twitter.com or your favorite Twitter         client such as Tweetdeck;
3.     Search using #ttmi.  This is the "hashtag" that we will add to all of our posts;
4.
As we taste through the wines, share your impressions and feel free to ask the winemaker any              questions. Add #ttmi after every post, to ensure everyone sees it;
5.
If you can't find the three specific Black Star Farms wines we are tasting, feel free to pick up any         Black Star Farms wines and we will talk about those after discussing the featured wines
.

I am honored to be joined in the tasting by Shannon and Cortney Casey of "Michigan by the Bottle"; Lee Lutes, the winemaker at Black Star Farms; Coryn Briggs, Winery Promotions Coordinator at Black Star Farms; local Master Sommelier Claudia Tyagi; and fellow local wine bloggers George Heritier and Kim Adams of "Gang of Pour"; Chris Ternes of "The Wineauxes"; Bill Wilson of "Wine for Newbies"; and Joel Goldberg of "Mich Wine".

This cast of characters will also be joined by many tweeters from around the region and around the country to enjoy and Tweet about the wonderful wines of Black Star Farms.  Won't you join us?
