The Bubbles are here, the Bubbles are here!! #TTMI

It's that time of year again!  No, not the holidays— Tweet & Taste Michigan!  This time we are breaking out the bubbles!!!   On Tuesday, December 14th we are going to pay a visit (virtually through Twitter) to the Leelanau Peninsula and taste along with Larry Mawby, Michigan's very own "sparkler"!

On the night of the 14th at 7:00 p.m., a group of wine peeps from all over the country will be tasting "US" and "FIZZ" from M. Lawrence.

These "sparklers" are produced using the cuve close method and should be fantastic to sip.  After we finish sipping and discussing these faves, we will be discussing any other M. Lawrence or L. Mawby sparklers that anyone may be sipping.  I will probably run out to get another bottle or two from Larry Mawby's other label "L. Mawby" which are sparklers produced through the traditional method.

As you may know, Tweet & Taste Michigan events are organized by Shannon and Cortney Casey, the folks behind Michigan by the Bottle, where they are "supporting the state with every sip".  These events allow us to "virtually taste" together wonderful wines from Michigan through Twitter.  For more information on how to participate or follow along on Twitter, please see this link to Michigan by the Bottle:  www.michiganbythebottle.com/ttmi.html

I have found that participating with a group of wine fans is the best way to participate in a Tweet & Taste and plan to have 4-5 other wine fans with me on the evening of the 14th.  Why don't you do the same?  I cannot think of a better way to spend a Tuesday evening than sipping bubbly with friends!  Cheers!
